Hi! My name is Mimi Hong. For the past 5 years, I have owned and operated an Etsy shop where I created and shipped over 2,500 fully assembled succulent arrangements across the United States. I did all this work out of my backyard and garage. In this video course, I will share with you how I create succulent arrangements suitable for shipping. I will walk you through how I compose succulent arrangements in both a ceramic and wooden container and how I carefully pack each type of arrangement for shipping. I will also talk in detail regarding the tools and supplies you need for creating the arrangement as well as for shipping it.

WHY SHIP SUCCULENT ARRANGEMENTS?

Being able to ship succulent arrangements means you can sell online. Some of you may already have a small business where you sell succulents locally, which means your market is limited. Being able to ship and sell online will increase your market share to include the whole country, which opens up your customer base, which in turn, means more sales and profits.

Owning your own business lets you control how much time you put into your work. As a stay-at-home mom, this flexibility allowed me to put my family first while maintaining an enjoyable and successful home business.

My Etsy shop:

The mission of I Dream of Succulents is to spread the love of succulents through beautiful arrangements and fun workshops. I launched my Etsy shop (https://www.etsy.com/shop/iDreamOfSucculents) in the spring of 2013 and since has shipped more than 2,500 succulent arrangements all over the United States. I also share my love of succulents by conducting workshops in the South Bay, Los Angeles area. My audience varies from gardening clubs, Girl Scout troops, community classes, and private parties. I am active in the community and enjoy sharing her passion of nature and gardening.

My work was featured on Idiots Guide: Succulents, published in December 2015 by Succulents and Sunshine (http://www.succulentsandsunshine.com) photographer/blogger Cassidy Tuttle.

Whether it’s holiday terrariums, succulent topped pumpkins, vertical wall gardens, miniature garden arrangements or succulent wreath workshops, I love the freedom to be creative and have fun while educating others about succulents.
